Young Sounds of Arizona was founded by The Professional Musicians of Arizona, Local 586 of the American Federation of Musicians. We are grateful to them for their ongoing leadership and support, musically and financially. Should you need information about performers in Arizona, their site should be your first stop. Much of the support and promotion for Jazz performance and education in our state is through Jazz in AZ. Anyone interesting in learning more about America's music will find this organization helpful and informative.

Our ability to continue providing opportunities for young musicians and performances for jazz lovers is aided by the work of Southwest Arts & Entertainment. In their mission to promote dance, music and performing groups throughout the Southwestern United States they have, thankfully, shared their time and expertise with us. Arizona's home for Jazz on the radio is 91.5 FM KJZZ. Partial funding for this site is provided through an ArtsPlace Grant from the Phoenix Arts Commission.
